Client

Location
Hollywood, Florida

My role
Lighting animation, within the Float4 team

The problem

Turn the façade of a 34-story, guitar-shaped hotel into a stage that comes alive every night.

My role

Within the Float4 team, I took part in animating the lights that run across the façade.

The creative idea

An idea from the Float4 team: play the façade like an instrument, with 16,800 LED fixtures and six lasers beamed into the sky like the strings of a guitar.

The choices made

Commissioned by DCL, Float4 designed and programmed the content of every show: light, colour and movement, choreographed to give the building rhythm and emotion.

From the sky

The result

A light show played every night since the hotel opened, and six lasers that reach nearly 6,000 metres into the sky.
