DoubleVerify: fake news headlines projected on the statue, a red “Fake news” stamp, a puppy, a watermelon and newspaper clippings, on a bed of glowing cablesDoubleVerify, “Free the Internet”: the faceted Statue of Liberty lit in blue, the “Free the Internet” message projected on her robe and the DV logo on her tablet, in front of a New York building

A Statue of Liberty covered in fake news, breaking free of it before the crowd.

The context

DoubleVerify measures the quality and trustworthiness of online advertising. For a parade in New York, the brand chose to take a subject at the heart of its business to the street: fake news, under its rallying cry, “Free the Internet”.

My role

With the Float4 team, I created the float’s graphic dressing and the video projection on its faceted Statue of Liberty: fake news headlines that fade away to reveal the brand’s message.

The result

The projection: the fake news fades, the message appears
DoubleVerify: the float before nightfall, the white faceted statue on the truck bed, the “Free the Internet” banner and a speaker at the microphone
The float, before nightfall
